Actually, I did sew it on February, but I finished it in the beginning of March.. Got very-very unmotivated to finish it and was very-very unmotivated to take a picture. As you can see, not a really the best weather do wear a little pretty dress.
But here it is, finally.. My blue-blue dress.
And, yes, sadly this picture is taken today. The never ending winter.
The pattern is from lekala.co and it is a copy of a dress worn by Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. I really-really love that dress, I even planned to buy a replica from eBay.. But never actually went through with it.. And when I find the pattern.. I was just so happy!
Like said before, pattern is from lekala.co, Dress 4043.

If you haven't heard about that page, then go and see.. I think it's a great page - many different styles and patterns are really cheap. I already have printed another pattern ;)
I can't say that everything went perfectly. It was my first attempt to use online pattern and I didn't check the scaling. So the dress is little bit off... Also, the instructions were confusing and not at all helpful. And the pattern was totally illogical and sometimes was more like a puzzle. And I hate puzzles. But still loving the dress and as I already printed another pattern.. And this look much more easier.. Who needs instructions anyway?:D
As you can see, I did some alternations. I didn't do the belt and the things around the armholes.. Just didn't see any point in them.. Unfortunately, for the better fit I have to redo the armholes.
Due to the wrong scaling the body didn't fit, mainly shoulders.
But-but... I truly love this pattern and will someday try it again. With correct scaling and all:D And now I know how to but the puzzle together! And hopefully with less frustration.
Can't wait when this permafrost is gone and I can wear dresses!
PS! Soon, you will get a finished March project!
Good work! I understand that you love this pattern, it's beautiful and original! I love your new dress!!
